Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NarFU) is the leading university of North Russia. The main campus is located in Arkhangelsk, the university also have branches in Severodvinsk and Koryazhma. Nowadays more than 20 thousand students study in NarFU.
The main purpose of the university is training highly qualified professionals for intellectual exploration of Far North and Arctic. NarFU has 7 scientific departments:
The university offers 183 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degree programs. A small number of them are available in English but the international students can join one-year foundation program, including intensive Russian language course.
NarFu has cooperation agreement with 91 higher education institutions and companies of Europe, Asia and North America. The university’s students take part in studying abroad state scholarship programs on a regular basis. 2 bachelor and 4 master programs are developed in collaboration with universities of Finland, Norway and France.
