Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is public research university established in 1635. ELTE is one of the biggest universities in the country and the only Hungarian university in THE top-200 European higher education institutions. Its campus located in Budapest. Today more than 28 thousand students study there.

The university offers 38 bachelor programs, 96 master programs and 118 PhD programs. The language of instruction is Hungarian but many courses are also available in English, German and French. Tuition fees varies from EUR 1000 to 4900 per semester depending on chosen major.
Research work is a key part of university (which is not surprising for an institution that has five Nobel prize winners among its alumni). The university is the largest research institution in Hungary and among the largest ones in Central Europe.
ELTE students have lots of opportunities to study abroad. The university has partnership agreements with 590 higher education institutions (including Stanford University и Princeton University) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and 70 more countries.
