Russia is the biggest and one of the most beautiful countries in the world. With its unique historic cities, idyllic countryside and cultural riches this country has a lot to offer guests from abroad. As for education there're some attractive undergraduate and graduate study options for international students.

Why Russian education?

  • Wonderful culture, a mix of European and Asian ones. There's no doubt that Russia has made a priceless contribution to world culture. The country has fine art masterpieces and amazing historic monuments, great classic literature and high-level drama and ballet. Have you ever heard about famous writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky, pianist Igor Stravinsky, dancer Maya Plisetskaya or theatre director and theorist Konstantin Stanislavsky? Their names are famous all over the world.

  • Russian language. When studying at Russia you can also learn Russian language, the most widely spoken among Slavic languages. You should certainly learn it because there are about 300 million total speakers of Russian in the world.

  • Affordable cost of living and tuition fees. There're about 600 state universities in Russia with accessible tuition fees. Most of their programs are taught in Russian, but the number of English-taught programs is growing. Furthemore accomodation and food in Russia are also not very expensive.

  • A wide variety of programs. In Russia there're many different study programs (long-term and short-term) from art and international law to computer programming and aviation. The highest ranked Russian university is Lomonosov Moscow State University (named after well-known Russian polymath, scientist and writer Mikhail Lomonosov) which is situated in the capital of Russia.

  • Long traditions. They're dated back to the USSR, when there were an affordable high-quality education for all citizens. That's why in 1990s Russia was probably the largest world donor of intellectuals. Nowadays the university-level education in Russia keeps its long-standing traditions, especially in large capital and regional universities funded by the Government.
